Mitochondrial Dysfunction

It all starts with a cell, the basic unit of life. Within each cell are mitochondria, the working organelles that keep the cell full of energy and maintaining their growth and cycles. Working perfectly, we’re healthy and happy. It’s when the mitochondria begin to malfunction that the cells start to change, prompting a range of problems in the body.

Today’s health issues may actually be initiated from the energy producing processes of the basic unit of life, the cell. In plants and animals, including humans, the common component in energy producing processes is the mitochondria. As humans age the mitochondria begin to malfunction, making cell processes less and less effective. This, in turn, prompts a range of health problems typically associated with aging.

Epigenetic Solutions

Additional research has led to the understanding of how MitoGenetics’ compounds affects the expression of genes and gene groups. This process has indicated positive effects on several beneficial gene groups that are related to positive therapeutic effects on several mitochondrial diseases.
